Guides are general information. They aren't professional advice — medical, veterinary, electrical, legal, financial or otherwise — and they don't replace the instructions that come with a product. Where a decision depends on your health, your pet, a child's safety or your home's wiring, talk to a qualified professional.

Accuracy and changes

We work to keep guides accurate and correct them when we find mistakes, but products, specifications and standards change. A guide reflects what we found when it was published or last updated, as shown in its byline. We may update, move or remove any content at any time, and we can't promise the site will always be available or free of errors.

Prices, offers and purchases

• We don't sell anything. Prices, stock, shipping, discounts and promotions are set by the stores and can change at any time; always check them on the store's site before you buy.
